Recall that a nuclear Fréchet space has the bounded approximation property, if there is a sequence of continuous finite rank maps converging pointwise to the identity. It was shown by \textit{D. Vogt} [Math. Z. 182, 265-267 (1983; Zbl 0488.46002)] that each Fréchet space with B.A.P. admitting some continuous norm is the intersection of a decreasing sequence of Banach spaces, i.e. it is countably normed. In the paper under review the author develops a conceptually simple construction of a plenty of nuclear Fréchet spaces having continuous norms but which are not countably normed and a fortiori do not have the B.A.P.. Vogt's example appears as a special case of this construction.
