Let \((G,\Sigma,\mu)\) be a finite, atomless measure space and let \(L^ \phi\) be an Orlicz space of measurable functions on \(G\), equipped with Luxemburg's norm. Let \(\rho\) be an Orlicz modular function. In this impressive paper the authors have introduced and studied several geometrical properties of \(\rho\), such as strict and norm convexity. Existence of unique best approximation, under suitable assumptions, is shown. Using this, it is proved that \(L^ \phi\) has a property that resembles reflexivity, provided that Orlicz modular is uniformly convex. These results are then applied to study \((\rho)\)-nonexpansive mappings acting within \(L^ \phi\) and relevant fixed point problems.
