    Let \(L_ n: C[-1,1]\to\Omega_{n-1}\) be a projection operator. The authors are concerned with the investigation of the expression \(\| L_ n^{(r)}(f,x)\|\). Assuming that \(L_ n\) is the Lagrange interpolation operator, based on the node system \(X=\{x_{kn}\}\), \(1\leq k\leq n\), \(n\in\mathbb{N}\), \textit{J. Szabados} [Analysis 7, 349-357 (1987; Zbl 0629.41006)] has introduced and investigated a new norm and constructed a ``good'' point system for each fixed \(s\), such that \(\Lambda^{[s]}_{ns}\leq c(r)n^ s\log n\), where it is used the notation \(\Lambda^{[s]}_{n\mu}:=\sup\| L_ n^{(s)}(f,x)\|\), when \(s=0,1,2,\dots,\mu\geq 0\), \(f\in C[-1,1]\), \(| f(x)|\leq(1-x^ 2)^{\mu/2}\). The authors are interested to find: (i) a node-system \(X(r)\), for any fixed \(r\), such that for the corresponding norms: \(\Lambda^{[i]}_{nr}\leq cn^ i\log n\), \(0\leq i\leq r\); (ii) a node- system \(X\) such that for the corresponding norms: \(\Lambda^{[s]}_{ns}\leq cn \log n\), when \(s\) has certain values.
