The author shows that to every topological quantum field theory, (TQFT) with category and functor data \(({\mathcal C},F,c)\) a certain quasi-quantum group \(Aut({\mathcal C},F,c)\) is associated, and it can be defined as a quasi-quantum group of matrix-valued functions on the category. Physically speaking, the automorphism quasi-quantum group Aut\(({\mathcal C},F,c)\) can be termed the internal symmetry quasi-quantum group of the TQFT. For ordinary quantum groups, the above results have been obtained by the author in his paper [Int. J. Mod. Phys. A 6, No. 24, 4359-4374 (1991; Zbl 0728.17011)].
