A sequence of uniform Lyapunov exponents is defined in the framework of Banach spaces and used to estimate the Hausdorff dimension of global attractors. This generalizes previous results by \textit{F. Ledrappier} [Commun. Math. Phys. 81, 229-238 (1981; Zbl 0486.58021)] and \textit{P. Constantin}, \textit{C. Foias} and \textit{R. Temam} [Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 314, 67 p. (1985; Zbl 0567.35070)].
