On solutions of the Poincaré equation (Q1184882): Difference between revisions

Let \(\mathbb{C}^ 2\ni(x,y) \overset {F}{} (y,ax+p(y))\in\mathbb{C}^ 2\) be a polynomial mapping with \(a\neq 0\), \(d:=\deg p\geq 2\). Fix \(k\in\mathbb{N}\) and put \(F^ k:=F\underset\text{k-times}{\circ\cdots\circ} F\). Suppose that \(z_ 0\in\mathbb{C}^ 2\) is such that \(f^ k(z_ 0)=z_ 0\) \((z_ 0\) is a periodic point of \(F\) of period \(k\)). Let \(J\) denote the Jacobi matrix of \(F^ k\) at \(z_ 0\) and suppose that \(\rho\in\mathbb{C}\) is an eigenvalue of \(J\) with a corresponding eigenvector \(v\in\mathbb{C}^ 2\). Assume that \(|\rho|\neq 1\) and let \(\Theta:\mathbb{C}\to\mathbb{C}^ 2\) be an entire curve such that \(\Theta(\rho t)=F^ k(\Theta(t))\) for all \(t\in\mathbb{C}\) and \(\Theta(t)=z_ 0+tv+O(t^ 2)\) as \(t\to 0\). The author shows that each component of \(\Theta\) is an entire function of order \(\tau\) and of finite type, where \[ \tau:=\log d/|\log|\rho|^{1/k}|. \] The case \(k=1\) was studied by \textit{T. Kimura} in J. Fac. Sci., Univ. Tokyo, Sect I A 35, No. 1, 103-148 (1988; Zbl 0731.58042).
