Let \(C_ n\) denote the symmetric inverse semigroup on a set of \(n\) elements and for \(x\in C_ n\), let \(C(x)\) denote the centralizer of \(x\). The author continues his study of representations of \(C(x)\). Here, the case where \(x\) is nilpotent is considered and, as a consequence, he is able to show that for any \(x\in C_ n\), \(C(x)\) can be embedded in a direct product of wreath products with a quotient of a wreath product. In addition to this, he derives a formula for computing the order of \(C(x)\).
