Feynman's path integral method is applied to one-dimensional quantum systems of fermions with time dependent Hamiltonians and random potentials so as to provide models for a disordered semiconductor. The time evolution is studied using a fermion coherent state representation. The goal was to derive a differential equation for the transfer matrix this way. However, the result is severely complicated by the appearance of external Grassmann variables. Thus, the challenge to arrive at physical results still remains.
