The author develops a new approach to classical notions, which first appeared in group theory, such as solvability, completeness, primarity, etc. This approach is based on properties of varieties and makes it possible to transfer the above-mentioned notions to arbitrary algebras. In the article under review, primary varieties of arbitrary monoassociative algebras over any associative ring with unit and some reduced varieties for monoassociative algebras are characterized.
