Reiterated homogenization of nonlinear monotone operators (Q5933940): Difference between revisions

The authors study reiterated homogenization for nonlinear elliptic equations of the form \[ \text{div} a(x, x/\varepsilon, x/\varepsilon^2, Du_{\varepsilon})=f. \] Here \(a\) is periodic in the first three variables and monotone in the fourth. It is shown that \(u_{\varepsilon}\) converges weakly in \(W^{1,p}\) and in some multiscale sense to the solution of a limit problem. An explicit construction of the limit problem is given.
