    The authors consider the following periodic boundary value problem for the differential equation with ``supremum'' \[ x'(t)= f(ta,x(t),\sup\{x(s): s\in [t-h, t]\}),\quad t\in [0,T],\quad t\neq t_k, \] \[ x(t_k+ 0)- x(t_k- 0)= I_k(x(t_k));\quad x(0)= x(T),\quad x(t)= x(0),\quad t\in [-h,0], \] with \(x\in\mathbb{R}\), \(f: [0,T]\times \mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\), \(0< t_1< t_2<\cdots< t_p< T\) are fixed points and \(h\) and \(T\) are positive constants with \(h< T\). By means of the monotone-iterative technique due to V. Lakshmikantham, they prove the existence of two sequences (monotone increasing and decreasing) converging uniformly in \((t_k,t_{k+ 1}]\), and their limits are minimal and maximal solutions.
