The main result of this paper is a theorem stating that, for a sequence of immersions into \({\mathbb R}^{{n+1}}\) of a compact, oriented Riemannian manifold without boundary and of dimension \(n,\) if \(p>n\) and if the areas of the immersions are bounded, the centers of gravity of the immersions are bounded, and the \(L^{p}\) norms of the second fundamental forms of the immersions are bounded, then the sequence has a subsequence that is convergent in the weak \(H^{{2,p}}\) topology. This generalizes a result of \textit{J. Langer} for the case \(n=2\) [Math. Ann. 270, 223--234 (1985; Zbl 0564.58010)]. The author works in the context of Gauss graphs defined by \textit{G. Anzellotti}, \textit{R. Serapioni} and \textit{I. Tamanini} [Indiana Univ. Math. J. 39, 617--669 (1990; Zbl 0718.49030)].
