In this note for an earlier result of \textit{A. Torres-Cházaro} and \textit{E. Vallejo} [J. Algebra 208, No. 2, 444-451(1998; Zbl 0954.05003)] characterizing those three-dimensional \((0,1)\)-matrices that are determined by their plane sum vectors an elementary proof is given. Five remarks complete the approach.
