Motivated by the general theory of endofunctors on the category \textbf{Comp} of compact Hausdorff spaces of \textit{E. V. Shchepin} [Russ. Math. Surv. 36, No. 3, 1--71 (1981; Zbl 0487.54011)] and his own studies on this topic, the author introduces the concept of equiconnected functor on \textbf{Comp} (Definition 1.1. on page 2) and shows its relationships to the so-called Milyutin functor (Theorem 2.1 on page 3 and Corollary 3.2 on page 5). In particular, it appears that certain topological properties of the probability measure functor [\textit{V. V. Fedorchuk}, Russ. Math. Surv. 46, No. 1, 45--93 (1991; Zbl 0735.54033); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 46, No. 1(227), 41--80 (1991)] and the idempotent measure functor [\textit{M. M. Zarichnyi}, Izv. Math. 74, No. 3, 481--499 (2010; Zbl 1220.18002); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 74, No. 3, 45--64 (2010)] are determined by some of their naturally possessed equiconnectedness structures. The paper is well written and provides some of its required preliminaries, but requires from the reader a certain background on categorical topology.
