In this paper, the state-dependent delay differential equation \[ \dot{x}(t) = f(t, x_t, x(t-\tau(t, x_t))) \text{ for } t\in [\sigma, T] \] with \(x(t) = \varphi(t-\sigma)\) for \(t\in [\sigma-r, \sigma]\) is considered, where \(f\) and \(\tau\) satisfy certain assumptions. It is shown that the solution is differentiable with respect to the initial function and the initial time. Based on these results, a nonlinear variation of constants formula is proved. As an application, asymptotic properties of perturbed nonlinear differential equations with state-dependent delays are also discussed. Also these results are parallel to the classic ones for ordinary differential equations, derivation and proof of these results for state-dependent equations are not trivial. A good contribution to the theory of differential equations.
