Mass and its properties has a wide range of application in mathematical relativity and geometric analysis. The Yamabe problem is a good example for it. This paper is the carried forward development of these questions. The authors define a ``generalized mass for asymptotically flat manifolds using some higher-order symmetric function of the curvature tensor.'' By a generalized decomposition for the Hilbert-Einstein action a more general mass, called the \(k\)th mass, is defined.
