The theory of global bifurcation diagrams plays an important role in one-dimensional prescribed mean curvature problem arising in MEMS. To this aim, the authors investigate the global bifurcation diagrams and exact multiplicity of positive solutions for the one-dimensional prescribed mean curvature problem. They determine the exact number of positive solutions.
