The authors study a pair of commuting involutions on the Lie algebra \({\mathcal G}\) of a compact simple Lie group \(G\) to construct two new Einstein metrics on \(F_4\). One of these metrics is non-naturally reductive and the second one is naturally reductive. To obtain these metrics they use representation theory and consequences of the existence of a decomposition of Lie algebra \({\mathcal G}\) endowed with this pair of involutions.
