The paper under review proves that a certain renormalization of the Kauffman brackets of framed graphs (also known as quantum spin networks) is integral. This proves a conjecture of \textit{S. Garoufalidis} and \textit{R. van der Veen} [Geom. Topol. 17, No. 1, 1--37 (2013; Zbl 1277.57020)]. The latter sections of the paper relate several different constructions of the renormalized Kauffman bracket, for quantum spin networks with and without boundary.
