The book under review is a lecture on quantum physics for undergraduate students. It covers the most important basic notions and technics in this field with a reasonable degree of mathematical complexity. Making use of simple, concrete situations and of appropriate figures, the author manages to present the main concepts of the theory in a clear fashion, although there are quite complicated and somehow unnatural. At some places the author uses notions that are not defined (or explained) in the text. Some of them are out of the scope of the book, others are considered to be known by the reader. It would have been nice to provide precise references for these notions, giving in this way the possibility to the reader to quickly find material to go into some details of the theory in depth. It would have been also desirable not to speak about the Dirac delta ``function'' (since it is not a function in the sense known by undergraduate students) but emphasize the fact that it is a linear form. It could have been interested to introduce the notions of state and trace (of a matrix). Anyhow, this is a good introduction of the quantum theory for undergraduate students and a useful reference for graduate students or scientists from academic disciplines else than physics.
