In this paper the author discusses limit relations between the sharp constants in the univariate Markov-Bernstein type inequalities of different \(L_r\)-metrics for algebraic polynomials and entire functions of exponential type and semitype. For \(p\in (0,\infty)\), certain limit relations for this type of inequalities have been proved and some earlier results in ([\textit{A. F. Timan}, Theory of approximation of functions of a real variable. Translated by J. Berry. Oxford etc.: Pergamon Press (1963; Zbl 0117.29001); Russian original: Fizmatgiz, Moscow (1960)], namely the equations 4.8(5) and 4.9(28)) are derived as special cases for \(p=\infty \) and \(p=2\). All the results here have been formulated for complex-valued polynomials and entire functions, but these results remain valid for the real-valued ones as well.
