    There is discussed the Cauchy problem for the equation \(u_{tt}-\Delta u+u_t=\int _0^t(t-s)^{-\gamma}|u(s)|^p\,ds\), \(t>0\), \(x\in\mathbb R^n\), where \(\gamma\in (0,1)\), \(p>1\) and \(n=1,2,3\). If \(\gamma\in (\frac{1}{2},1)\) for \(n=1,2\) and if \(\gamma\in (\frac{11}{16},1)\) for \(n=3\), then the problem admits unique global mild solution for sufficiently small compactly supported initial data. The asymptotic decay of this solution and its energy is proved. Moreover, blow-up of a solution to the problem for some exponents \(\gamma,p\) is shown.
