In this paper there is considered the problem of thermo-diffusive binary fluid mixture in the Oberbeck-Boussinesq scheme related to a bounded domain whose boundary is formed by two components, one being rigid and the other free and invariable. Conditions under which the linear stability of the steady solutions implies the nonlinear stability are obtained. Also, the authors give conditions which assure, for the motionless state in a layer, the coincidence of the critical linear and nonlinear (energy) stability parameters.
