The authors continue their studies of contrast structures [Fundam. Prikl. Mat. 4, No. 3, 799--851 (1998; Zbl 0963.34043) and J. Math. Sci., New York 121, No. 1, 1973--2079 (2004; Zbl 1081.34051)]. They consider some classes of singularly perturbed parabolic problems. They study existence, uniqueness, stability and limits, as the small parameter goes to zero, of (stationary) contrast structures. The main tools, in their investigation, are constructions of lower and upper solutions to the problems, via asymptotic expansions.
