Summary: First we prove existence of a fixed point for mappings defined on a complete modular space satisfying a general contractive inequality of integral type. Then we generalize the fixed-point theorem for a quasicontraction mapping given by \textit{M.\,A.\thinspace Khamsi} [Fixed Point Theory Appl.\ 2008, Article ID 916187 (2008; Zbl 1159.47031)] and \textit{Lj.\,B.\thinspace Ćirić} [Proc.\ Am.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 45, No.\,2, 267--273 (1974; Zbl 0291.54056)].
