In this paper, a solution existence theorem for a generalized variational inequality problem with an operator which is defined on an infinite-dimensional space is given. By using a new technique which reduces infinite variational inequality problems to finite ones, the proof of the theorem is provided. Furthermore, two examples are given and analyzed to illustrate the theorem. The results presented in this paper improve and extend many known results in the recent literature.
