In this paper the authors study the existence and regularity of solutions to nonhomogeneous \(p\)-Laplacean type systems and equations, on a bounded Lipschitz domain \(\Omega \) in \(\mathbb R^n\). They establish an \(L^\infty\) estimate of the gradient via suitable nonlinear potentials of the right-hand side. Also they show that when the right-hand side function belongs to the limiting Lorentz space \(L(n,1)\), the gradient of the solution is locally bounded independently of \(p\). The a priori estimates derived imply the existence of locally Lipschitz regular solutions to certain degenerate systems with critical growth of the type arising when considering geometric analysis problems.
