The equations of magnetohydrodynamics are studied for initial data in Lebesgue spaces. It is shown for initial data for the velocity, the transverse magnetic field in \(L^{4}\), and the temperature in \(L^{2}\), that the equation is globally weakly well posed and the solutions present Lipschitz continuous dependence on the initial data. The fields are assumed to have variability only in one spatial dimension. The problem is treated using Lagrangian coordinates. The paper improves on previous results on these equations which assume more regularity on the initial data.
