The paper is concerned with a linear Volterra integro differential equation with piecewise linear convolution kernel which is known to have an asymptotically periodic solution. The basic idea of the paper is to combine a backward Euler approximation of the derivative with an operational quadrature approximating the integral to provide a discrete scheme. The main results of the paper are theorems giving two \(l^1\) remainder stability estimates for the scheme.
