    The authors study the two-weighted Hardy type inequality in the framework of variable exponent Lebesgue spaces \(L^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^{n})\) for the multidimensional Hardy operator \[ Hf(x)=\int_{\{t \in \mathbb R^n: |t|\leq |x|\}}f(t)dt. \] Namely, they show that, in the case of exponents \(p\) and \(q\) satisfying only some regularity near zero and infinity with \(q(0)\geq p(0), q(\infty)\geq p\left(\infty \right)\), the validity of the following two-weighted Hardy type inequality \[ \|v^\frac{1}{q(\cdot)} H f\|_{L^{q(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} \leq C \|w^\frac{1}{p(\cdot)} f\|_{L^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} \] is equivalent to some integral estimates depending on \(q(0)\), \(p(0)\), \(q(\infty)\) and \(p(\infty)\). This generalizes known results in the classical Lebesgue spaces.
