Let $L$ be a line in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ (with $n\geq 3$) and $D$ be a bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ such that $\overline{D}\cap L = \emptyset$. The author shows the completeness in $L^{2}(D)$ of the family of linear combinations of products of regular harmonic functions on $D$ with the Newtonian potentials of points on $L$. The paper ends with an application of the result in the proof of uniqueness theorems for the inverse acoustic sounding problem in $\mathbb{R}^{3}$.
