In the representation theory of the absolute Galois group of a finite extension local \(p\)-field over a finite dimensional vector space, there is deformation condition of flatness, meaning that the given Galois representation is isomorphic to the action of the Galois group on the generic fiber. \textit{M. Kisin} [Ann. Math. (2) 170, No. 3, 1085--1180 (2009; Zbl 1201.14034)] constructs some kind of ``resolution singularities'' of the spectrum of the flat deformation ring to obtain more information about deformation condition of flatness. \textit{G. Pappas} and \textit{M. Rapoport} globalize Kisin's construction and define a so-called coefficient space parametrizing all Kisin modules that generate the given representation [Mosc. Math. J. 9, No. 3, 625--663 (2009; Zbl 1194.14032)]. The author of the paper under review uses Kisin's results in [loc. cit.] to determine the image of the coefficient space in the universal deformation space. The author answers the question raised by Pappas and Rapoport [loc. cit.] and also recovers Kisin's results from a more abstract and general setting.
