The parabolic Anderson model, the Cauchy problem for the heat equation with random potential in \(\mathbb{Z}^d\) is considered. The authors consider the class of almost founded potentials, which consists of potentials whose logarithmic moments generating function is regularly varying with parameter \(\gamma=1\), but do not belong to the class of double-exponentially distributed potentials. It is shown that those potentials whose shape is away from the parabola contribute only neglibly to the total mass.
