The author discusses some possibility to construct a non-abelian class field theory of a global field \(K\), by considering some analogue to Chevalley's idèles. This is achieved by ``gluing'' together the class field theories of \(K_\nu\) in the sense of Koch, where \(\nu\) runs through the non-Archimedean primes of \(K\). Most of the results of this paper depend on Conjecture 3.2, and the final goals are also conjectured (7.7. and 8.5).
