Let \(D\subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\), \(n\geq 2\), be a smooth bounded pseudoconvex domain. The Szegö projection S is defined as the orthogonal projection \(L^ 2(\partial D)\to H^ 2(\partial D)\), where \(H^ 2(\partial D)\) is the closed subspace of \(L^ 2(\partial D)\) whose Poisson integrals are holomorphic in D. The smooth regularity of S for a large class of domains has been studied by many mathematicians while not much is known about the real analytic regularity of S [\textit{D. S. Tartakoff}, Acta Math. 145, 177-204 (1980; Zbl 0456.35019)]. The author is interested in the analytic regularity of S on a circular domain D with real analytic defining function r(z). He proves that if \(\sum^{n}_{k=1}z_ k\frac{\partial r}{\partial z_ k}\neq 0\) holds near some point \(a\in \partial D\), then S(f) is real analytic near a for every f real analytic on \(\partial D\).
