The structures of Poisson Lie groups on a simple compact Lie group G are parametrized as shown in previous works by the authors, by pairs (a,u), where \(a\in {\mathbb{R}}\), \(u\in \bigwedge^ 2{\mathfrak h}\), where \(h\) is a real form of a Cartan subalgebra of the complexification of Lie(G). The description of symplectic leaves is given for all pairs (a,u) thus completing earlier results by the authors and L. Vaksman. The quantized algebras corresponding to the symplectic leaves are constructed and their irreducible representations are described in a sense. For generic (a,u) they reduce to the study of wild representations of tori. The authors introduce important notions of quantum tori and quantum Weyl group. The (rather huge) Hopf algebra called quantum Weyl group is used by the authors to derive a formula for the universal R-matrix. Some of the results from the second author's paper [Algebra Anal. 2, No.1, 190-212 (1990; Zbl 0708.46029)] are reproduced in order to correct numerous typographical errors.
