The author separates forcing notions into two categories: \textit{topological forcings}, where the forcing conditions form a topology base, and \textit{non-topological forcings}. In this paper he examines the effects of determinacy on the set algebras defined by non-topological forcings. The author shows that for such a forcing notion \(P\), it is not the case that every determined set \(A\) lies in the algebra of measurability defined by \(P\). In addition, the author investigates for which forcings this result is extendible to the concept of ``weakly \(P\)-measurable''.
