Many existence results have been recently obtained for Einstein metrics with positive constant. In particular, in several papers by C. P. Boyer, K. Galicki and M. Nakamaye, Einstein metrics were constructed on the connected sum of \(k\leq 9\) copies of \(S^2\times S^3\). The main result of the paper under review is that for any \(k\geq 6\), there exist infinitely many \((2k- 2)\)-dimensional families of Einstein metrics on the connected sum of \(k\) copies of \(S^2\times S^3\). The method of Kobayashi to construct Einstein metrics on circle bundles \(M\to X\) from a Kähler-Einstein metric on \(X\) was generalized by Boyer and Galicki to Seifert bundles \(f: Y\to X\), starting from an orbifold Kähler-Einstein metric on \(X\) and a Hermitian metric on \(Y\). In this paper, Einstein metrics are obtained on total spaces of Seifert bundles over Del Pezzo orbifolds. These metrics also have additional good properties. In particular, the connected component of the isometry group is \(S^1\), and all these metrics are Sasakian-Einstein.
