For a finite dimensional algebra \(A\) over a field and \(n\in\mathbb{N}\), let \(\text{findim}_nA\) denote the supremum of finite projective dimensions on \(A\)-modules with top multiplicities bounded by \(n\). It is known that \(\text{findim}_nA<\infty\) for all \(n\). Therefore, the finitistic dimension conjecture just means that the sequence \(f_n:=\text{findim}_nA\) stabilizes. By stacking several algebras on each other, the authors construct examples of connected algebras \(A\) with \(\text{Rad}^3A=0\) which realize any increasing sequence \(f_n\geq 2\) with finitely many distinct values.
