In [\textit{V. I. Bogachev} and \textit{A. V. Shaposhnikov}, Dokl. Math. 91, No. 1, 91--93 (2015; Zbl 1320.26015); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 460, No. 6, 631--633 (2015)], the first and third authors have obtained, under some assumptions, a lower bound for the Kantorovich distance between two probability measures \(f.\mu\) and \(g.\mu\) on a Riemannian manifold with a measure \(\mu(x)=e^Vdx\). The aim of this article is to prove that the assumptions hold true under some geometric condition. More precisely, defining \(\mathrm{Ric}_V=\mathrm{Ric}-\mathrm{Hess}V\), where Ric is the Ricci curvature and \(\mathrm{Hess}_V\) is the Hessian of \(V\), the geometric condition is of type \(\mathrm{Ric}_V\geq k\,I\). Some counterexamples are also considered.
