Motivated by \textit{J. J. Duistermaat} and \textit{F. A. Gruenbaum}'s work [Commun. Math. Phys. 103, 177-240 (1986; Zbl 0625.34007)] and starting with the system of quintuple (L,B,\(\lambda\),\(\theta\),\(\phi)\) satisfying the ``bispectral property'' \(L\phi_ n(x)=\lambda_ n\phi_ n(x)\) and \((B\phi)_ n=\sum^{N}_{i=-N}b_ i^{(n)}\phi_{n+i}(x)=\theta (x)\phi_ n(x),\) where \(\partial \equiv (d/dx)L\equiv \partial^ 2+V(x)\), B is difference operator and \(\theta\) (x) is independent of the integer n and \(b_ i's\) are independent of x, the author gives a technique to generate other systems with higher-order recurrence relations. Actually in the present paper, he replaces a differential operator in \(\lambda\) by the difference operator B from Duistermaat and Gruenbaum's work. The usefulness of this method is verified by giving some examples involving classical orthogonal polynomials viz. Hermite, Laguerre, special Laguerre, Jacobi polynomials and Bessel function etc.
