Interpolation of linear operators in the Köthe dual spaces (Q915081): Difference between revisions

Let \(\bar X=(X_ 0,X_ 1)\), and \(\bar Y=(Y_ 0,Y_ 1)\) be compatible pairs of Köthe spaces, and let \(Int(\bar X,\bar Y)\) denote the class of pairs of Köthe spaces that are interpolation spaces relative to \((\bar X,\bar Y)\). The author investigates under what conditions \((X,Y)\in Int(\bar X,\bar Y)\) impies that \((Y',X')\in Int(\bar Y',\bar X')\), where \('\) stands for the associate space as defined in the theory of Köthe spaces. For example it is proved that if \(X_ 0+X_ 1\) and \(Y_ 0+Y_ 1\) have continuous norms, and \(X''=X\), \(Y''=Y\), then \((X,Y)\in Int(\bar X,\bar Y)\) if and only if \((Y',X')\in Int(\bar Y',\bar X')\).
