The basic equations of fluid mechanics, the Navier-Stokes equations, are a set of nonlinear partial differential equations with very few exact solutions. Exact solutions are important not only because they are solutions of some fundamental flows, but also because they serve as accuracy standards for approximate methods, whether numerical, asymptotic or experimental. The purpose of this paper is to review a particular class of solutions, i.e., the generalized Beltrami flows. These solutions are collected and classified from a wide variety of journals. Also, several new solutions are introduced.
