A positive quasi-linear functional on a \(C^*\)-algebra A is a real- valued function on the selfadjoint part of a \(C^*\)-algebra which is bounded on the unit ball and positive linear on the selfadjoint part of each abelian subalgebra of A. The author presents some partial results on the question of when a continuous quasi-linear functional extends to a linear functional on A.
