The author derives, by purely analytical considerations, explicit travelling wave solutions to Fisher's population equation with diffusion \[ u_ t=u_{xx}+u(1-u)(u-a)\text{ for } t>0,\quad x\in {\mathbb{R}}, \] where \(0<a<1\) is constant. It should be noted that these solutions have also been found by A. F. Huxley, cf. e.g. {\S} 5.4 in \textit{Dan Henry} [Lect. Notes Math. 840 (1981; Zbl 0456.35001)].
