Integrable systems and soliton theory have been receiving more and more interest and recognition in the mathematical and physical communities. Binary nonlinearization is one of the new areas in nonlinear science, attracting an increasing interest. In this work, authors give a soliton hierachy of vector Kaup-Newell (KN) equations by using an arbitrary order matrix spectral problem, together with its bi-Hamiltonian formulation. In particular, the introduction of the adjoint symmetry \(G_0\) is very crucial in making integrable decompositions for the vector KN equations. The authors present adjoint symmetry constraints for manipulating binary nonlinearization, and provide integrable docompositions of the vector KN equations. Thus, this paper is interesting.
