In this paper the authors give the following main result (and an interesting corollary): Let \(\mathcal{F}\) be a family of holomorphic functions in a domain \(D\), and let \(a(z)\), \(b(z)\) be two holomorphic functions in \(D\). For each \(f\in \mathcal{F}\), if \((1)\,\, a(z)\neq b(z)\, ;\) \((2)\,\, a(z)\neq a^{\prime}(z)\) or \(b(z)\neq b^{\prime}(z)\, ;\) \((3)\,\, f(z)-a(z)\) and \(f(z)-b(z)\) have no common zeros; \((4)\,\, f(z)=a(z)\Rightarrow f^{\prime}(z)=a(z)\), and \(f(z)=b(z)\Rightarrow f^{\prime}(z)=b(z)\), then \(\mathcal{F}\) is normal in \(D\). This result improves and generalizes the classical Montel normality criterion and some related results.
