The level-cut measures of noncompactness are introduced in standard fuzzy normed spaces in the sense of \textit{T. Bag} and \textit{S. K. Samanta} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 159, No. 6, 685--707 (2008; Zbl 1187.47061)]. Condensing operators in these spaces are studied and the corresponding topological degree is given. Some fixed point theorems with respect to condensing operators are derived by means of topological degree theory.
