The authors focus on the degenerate parabolic equation with convection \[ u_t- \Delta\beta(u)+\nabla A(x,t,u)+ B(x,t,u)= 0, \] where \(\beta\) is non-decreasing. In particular, a notion of entropy solution which is BV in space and time is introduced in relation with a suitably weak version of the homogeneous Neumann condition. Under suitable assumptions on \(A\) and \(B\) the problem is reformulated in the form of nonlinear evolution semigroups. Existence is hence obtained via a generation lemma and uniqueness is directly checked.
