The embedding problem for infinitely divisible probability measures on locally compact groups is one of the most difficult tasks in the field of algebraic probability where the best results were obtained by Dani and McCrudden. In the paper under review, some earlier results are slightly generalized with a focus on nilpotent Lie groups. The details are technical.
